Learning to drive is a big step, and everyone learns differently.
Prestige Driving School provides specialised driver training for people using NDIS funding who may benefit from additional support, patience or a different approach to learning.
Whether you’re learning for the first time, building confidence or returning to driving, our instructors can tailor your lessons around your experience, learning style and individual goals.

- Flexible availability: Weekday and weekend lessons may be available depending on your location and instructor availability.
- Instructor preference: Male and female instructors are available in many areas, subject to availability.
- Support with arrangements: We can also work with family members, nominees, support coordinators and plan managers where required.

We offer different levels of specialised driver training depending on the support you may need.
Standard support
Extra patience, repetition, clear instructions, structured lessons and confidence-building support.
Intermediate support
More individualised assistance, preparation and structured learning strategies throughout your lessons.
Advanced support
A higher level of support, planning or coordination based on your individual circumstances.

Funding
Using your NDIS funding
We work with different NDIS plan management arrangements.
Plan-managed
We can work with your plan manager regarding funding, service arrangements and invoicing.
NDIA-managed
Services can be arranged in accordance with applicable NDIS requirements and funding arrangements.
Self-managed
You can arrange services directly with us. Payment arrangements will be confirmed before services commence.

Can I learn to drive if I need additional support?
Yes. Everyone learns differently. Our instructors can adapt lessons to your experience, confidence, learning style and goals.
How do I get started?
Can I complete the referral myself?
Yes. You can complete the referral yourself, or a family member, nominee, support coordinator or authorised representative can complete it on your behalf.
Can I request a male or female instructor?
Yes. Let us know your preference and we’ll do our best to accommodate it, subject to availability in your area.
Do you provide pick-up and drop-off?
Yes. Pick-up and drop-off can generally be arranged within the instructor’s service area.
Can NDIS funding be used for a driving test package?
Driving test packages are separate from our Specialised Driver Training service and are generally paid privately.
